Members of the Anglican Company of Mission Priests (CMP) met in Walsingham from 17-20 May 2010 for their Annual Chapter. As part of their programme they had input from Emily Casson and Sister Maureen Tinkler DC of the Vincentian Millennium Partnership on Justice and Vincentian Spirituality issues. CMP, a dispersed men’s community founded in 1940, has now completed 70 years of service to the Church, and is looking forward to many more such years. CMP priests can be found working primarily in the big housing estates and inner-city areas, engaging in mission. All members of the Company undertake to observe simplicity of life, to remain unmarried so long as they are members, to observe a personal rule based on the principles derived from St. Vincent de Paul’s instructions, included in the Company’s customary, and to consult the Warden and Council about changes of work.
