Vincentian Justice Day – Newcastle 9th Oct
After the success of the last Vincentian Justice Day in London in March the VMP Justice Group is holding another one in the Blackfriars Centre (SVP). New Bridge Street, Newcastle, NE1 2TG on Saturday, 9th October 2010 from 10.00am-4.00pm (Arrivals & Coffees from 9.30am).
The aim of the day is to inform and inspire members of the Vincentian Family about what they can do to campaign on behalf of the most vulnerable. Speakers include Canon Nick Sagovsky on “Why we as Christians should be political”; Sr Ellen Flynn DC on “The Vincentian way of doing justice” and the Parliamentary Outreach Team on “How people can engage with Parliament”. There are also inputs from Church Action on Poverty and CITIZENS for Sanctuary and stands detailing the work of the different branches of the Vincentian Family.
